On the opening evening of this year's Beacon Art Project The Dreams Bar hosted a talent contest. This was not your regular talent contest though.

The contest was presided over by the esteemed Mayor of Mablethorpe, Tony Howard, and the winners were voted for by the audience. First prize was a suitcase full of cash, donated by local businesses. Other prizes included a signed book of poetry by Damien Hirst, a box set of CDs by the late, great Luciano Pavarotti and other cultural gems.
